Cusanus hiking trail

Our Bernkastel-Kues is the birthplace of one of the most famous German polymaths, the medieval churchman and philosopher Nikolaus von Kues (Nikolaus Cusanus).

On the Cusanus circular hiking trail, 2,5 stations await you in approx. 9 hours, at which you can expect exciting questions that have to do with the life of Nikolaus von Kues. If you don't already know Cusanus, take the opportunity and get to know one of the most important personalities of the 15th century.

The circular route begins with the Cusanus Birthplace, then leads over the St. Briktius Church, the Cusanus Hospital, the post office, the Akademie Kues, the St. Nikolaus Hospital, the sundial to the parish church of St. Michael and ends with the Cusanus game, which is the highlight of the tour.
